A note from Alan header

As I’m writing this note, there is snow on the ground, and the holiday season is in the air! Now is the time to begin making your holiday plans. I’m not talking about trips to see family and trips to the mall. I’m talking about a game plan for you and your family to express your faith, serve as a family, and show generosity toward others. Below are some great ideas and opportunities for you and the whole family to do just that. I hope you will join us.

“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” Acts 20:35

Blessings,

Alan

TPC Family & Friends,

I hope you are all enjoying your TRANSFORMED daily devotions and group time. We have sold out of the workbooks and have close to 70 adults going through the study together in groups. That is encouraging on so many levels!

Let me challenge you in these 5 areas: 1) Be disciplined; 2) Don’t give up; 3) Take your goal setting seriously; 4) Step out in faith; and 5) Expect God to show up!

I’m so excited to hear of God’s work among you. Please don’t hesitate to share your personal victories with me along the way at alan.reed@pursuitchurch.com.

Blessings,,

TPC Family & Friends,

As many of you already know my beloved Cowboys got their “chaps” handed to them this past Sunday evening with a humiliating 42-17 loss. A big “thank you” to everyone who sent me supportive text messages. The outpouring of love (in the form of mockery) was truly heartwarming. Here’s your final opportunity to show your support this Sunday morning at 9AM as I have my beautiful head of hair defiled with the Bronco’s logo. In all seriousness, this was a lot of fun. Now that this game is over, I can go back to supporting my #2 NFL team, the Denver Broncos, with a new hairdo. I hope you will join us!!!

On a more serious note, please check out below a few upcoming events. This is your last Sunday to join one of our Community Groups!

Alan

BREAKFAST AND BRONCOS BRANDING – Alan’s haircut at 9am

 Broncos Game

As many of you know Pastor Alan and Jeff made a friendly bet, that the loser of the Broncos vs Cowboys game must have the opposing team’s logo shaved into their hair. Join us this Sunday at 9 AM for some lively music, doughnuts, cereal, milk and coffee as we support our pastor as he gets his new Bronco haircut. It will be a great time!

CHOOSE TWO FAIR

Choose 2

Join the rest of your church family as we commit together to “Choose Two.”

  • Step 1: Attend a Community Group.

All groups will be doing the “Transformed” study.

  • Step 2: Join a volunteer team.

Sign-up for the first time or try serving in a new area.

We are so excited to have our whole church studying the same topic together. This creates an opportunity to share our thoughts, ideas, and witness God working in each of our lives. We also see this as a great way to connect as God’s family through a shared theme and grow deeper together in our faith. The Pursuit Church is also  making a difference in the lives of so many people. We’re seeing God working in us, through us, and in our community. God can and will continue to do this if we will make ourselves available to Him! We invite you to join in God’s Kingdom work, through the use of your gifts and talents. Don’t miss the chance to grow and serve with your church family. We’re all in this together!

FALL COMMUNITY GROUPS - BEGIN THIS WEEK!

Transformed

We are inviting our church to go on a spiritual journey together that we are calling TRANSFORMED. During this 7 week teaching series, led by pastor Alan, all our Community Groups will be exploring what the Bible says about: growing closer to God, living life with less stress, reconciling broken relationships, better handling money, and being more confident at work. Let's come together and be TRANSFORMED together.

NEW SERVE OPPORTUNITIES

Serve WEB

TPC has some great opportunities to serve within our church family. To help find just the right fit for you, we are having our second Choose 2 Fair this Sunday, September 24th, immediately after the service. Take an opportunity to learn about the many different serve opportunities in our church. We hope you will take the opportunity to sign-up for the first time or try serving in a new area. Thank you! Click HERE for detailed descriptions for our service areas!
